While No One Was Looking They Crowned Him King!

He is a liar, a liar who lied America into a war of aggression for a false mission in Iraq over 935 well-documented times. He is a murderer, a murdering war criminal, who has committed unspeakable war crimes and crimes against humanity in our names with impunity as one who has the blood of over 1.4 million innocent Iraqis, and over 4100 American soldiers on his hands-and ours by collusion and extension.

And nobody, but nobody has the courage, save a handful of brave Congress members on our side to impeach these bastards! He has proven himself, by his own words, deeds, and hands that he is a scourge on this Republic, a parasite on our treasury, the undisputed Public Enemy #1 of our Constitution. Yet, "Mister 29%" continues to have his way with us, especially with the People's Body, the Congress, time and time again!

Inquiring minds want to know why, and exactly when did they crown him our King, while nobody was looking? More of my rant under the fold...

Why are our leaders afraid to impeach Bush?

Why do our Congress blindly obey a man whose name is not even on the House registry? And I don't seem to see the name of a King on the House registry, do you? Is he the President of The Senate? Is he a King? Is his name prefaced with "HIS MAJESTY", and do we call him by the title of King-or address him only as Mister President, and that for at the most an 8 year tour?

Why do they fear a mere man then, a simple-minded man at that, whose only Constitutional power of his office over the Congress is the power to veto their laws?

So he vetoes, don't they have the power to over-turn his veto? Don't they have the power simply not to pass anything, thus shutting down his government?
Can he have them arrested, imprisoned, or shot? No.
Don't they have the constitutional power impeach him and remove him from office? Can he do the same to them? I don't think so.
So why do they fear this one man so much?

Can he appropriate funds? No. But he has mastered the art of deception and the Big Lie! He is the personal embodiment of corporate fascism, and the "new and improved" Fourth Reich!

Can he declare war on the American people? No. But he has already shown that not only can he torture, but he has the propensity for it, almost an obsession or love to torture those who have gotten in his way, thus far. Abu Grhaib. Guantanamo. Prison ships. Extraordinary rendition. All tips of the iceberg!

Can he do anything but sign or veto anything Congress sends to his desk? No.

He has the bully pulpit.

He has the military.
Oh! Maybe I've stumbled across the answer: the military! They're scared of a military coup d'etat! I speak as a fool. Or have I in the course of my stumbling discovered their greatest fear? Did he, or has he threatened them all behind closed doors? Is our Congress suffering from a form of battered wives syndrome?

He doesn't need the military for a coup d'etat, does he now? He's got over 1000 Signing Statements, cherry-picking the laws he'll enforce-at his leisure, if ever.


If I can tell you that nothing you pass will be enforced unless I choose to, haven't I effectively nullified you, making you impotent and powerless to stop me? How has Bush managed to turn the tables on us all? The end result does seem to justify this conclusion, doesn't it? Maybe, that's why they fear him. Maybe we're all just a little bit snake-bit, or we're just like that man who got ran-over by the train in the middle of the night, who thinks he still has both his legs, not knowing he's already half-bled to death.


2006 was supposed to signal a "new direction for America", but it instead signalled the death of our Constitution and our democracy.

Is it because of a "lack of power" that Speaker Pelosi and Majority leader Reid are always crying the blues about? Or is it complicity? Cowardice? Incompetence? What is it about Bush that scares them so much? Let's look at the office of House Speaker.

...If Madame Speaker Pelosi would stop and think long enough to actually READ & COMPREHEND what the House rules say about the power of Speaker of the House, then she'd stop making excuses to fail; she'd stop talking about all the time about her "lack of power" she has to restrain this imperial president, who has become no less than a scourge upon this republic, a parasite on our treasury, and the mortal enemy of our Constitution.
She has ALL the necessary power, as not only one 3rd in line to the presidency, but as one with the constitutional authority as House Speaker to stop this madman any time she so desires:

She and she alone sets the LEGISLATIVE agenda and controls all of the committees relating to FUNDING Bush's government. PERIOD. And there's not a damn thing Bush can do about it, but get mad!
She and she alone sets the tone of the debates and indeed if there is going to be any debate. At all, end of story. Case closed. She has the final word!
She decides if impeachment is on or off the table. Not Bush. Not the Senate. No one else.
She alone decides if Bush is going to be held in Inherent Contempt of Congress for disobeying congressional subpoenas. Not even the Supremes can save him from the "inquiring minds, eyes and ears" of the Congress, because the power to subpoena is written in the Constitution, and it's an inherent right Congress has, that no one else on this planet has, and no one else on this planet can take away from Congress!

She alone has the power to order congressional hearings about Bush's war crimes, war profiteering, and blanket use of torture and extraordinary rendition, and out-right lying this nation into aggressive war for a false mission!
In short, she has no cloak for her INACTION! Absolutely no cloak! And she doesn't know what the hell she is talking about, if she continues to use that same old lame excuse about not having the power to stop this madman's ship dead in the water!  She single-handedly has the power to bring Bush's government to heel, literally bring him to his knees, begging for Congress' mercy-if she so desires! YES SHE CAN!
So I ask, why doesn't she? Why hasn't she? And why won't she? I'll tell you. It's one of three things. They're either complicit. They're cowards. Or they've already crowned him King behind our backs!
Something besides the inherent lack of power claim is holding her back from standing up for America, and inquiring minds want to know what it is. Indeed, I demand answers from our elected representatives. If not, then we keep firing them until we get ANSWERS! And that includes all those in the position of authority from the TOP-DOWN!
